Wing Wednesday

by Dad @DadsSeasonings

Baked Chicken Wings

Dad used 4 pounds of chicken wings.

Cut up into flats and drums.

Ingredients: chicken, olive oil, chopped scallions, Dad's Seasonings Tres Padres Island Umami and Chile Dulce, and wing sauce.

Preparing the Wings

  • Lightly coat the wings with olive oil.

  • Shake seasoning on wings and mix to evenly coat. Dad rotated adding a little bit of each; Tres Padres Island Umami and Chile Dulce.

  • Bake in oven at 375 degrees for about 1 hour. Raise temperature to 450 degrees and crisp wings for about 30 minutes. * Note, Dad baked these in a glass pan for juicy wings inside and crispy outside. Bake on a wire rack on top of the pan for crispier wings. These wings were juicy inside and crispy outside.

Wing Sauce

  • 3/4 of a stick of butter

  • Crystal Hot Sauce

  • Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Dad's Seasonings Tres Padres Island Umami

Heat on low to medium to combine and reduce down. Amounts vary based on personal taste. Toss wings in the sauce and serve.
